BOOKING AN EXCURSION

Please use the RESERVE/CONTACT page to inquire a date, excursion and time, or customization you would like to book and we will respond promptly. We can process credit card payment and reservation over the phone or Credit card, cash, Venmo in person upon pick-up

MICRO-CURSION HOURS AND DURATION

We can begin excursions at any time but if you’d like a morning paddle excursion, or perhaps a sunset view from on top of a mountain please contact us to check availability. Duration of Excursions generally are 1.5 hours, 2.5 hours to more hours.
Excursion times include loading, lesson, paddling time and unloading at end of Excursion.

EXCURSION OCCUPANCY

Occupancy of Jeep is 4 passengers (max) + driver/guide/instructor.

CHILDREN

Mammoth Experiences cares about our guests’ safety. We suggest children be at least 5 years old to participate in an iSUP excursion. We also recommend children know how to swim. Life vests will be provided to adults and children upon request.
Children under the age of 8 must be secured in a car seat or booster seat. (guests must provide a proper fitting seat).

SERVICE ANIMALS AND PETS

Certified service animals are permitted on all tours. Dogs and cats that are under 15 pounds are also allowed on tours and are required to ride in a soft-sided carrier that will be held on the owner’s lap for the duration of the excursion.
A 50$ cleaning fee will be charged for large, hairy, shedding or wet dogs.

Guests With Disabilities

For the safety of our passengers, all guests must have upper body strength with the ability to hold themselves up during the tour. Guests are responsible for getting themselves in and out of our vehicles for their tour.

PREGNANT GUESTS

Our Jeep off-road excursions are considered too rugged for women who are expecting.

PAYMENTS/ RESERVATIONS

PAYMENTS

Payment is due at reservation or time of pick up. Acceptable forms of payment are credit/debit card, cash or Venmo.
A deposit or CC on file will be required for all paddle board rentals.

RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED

We do not require advance reservations but we do have limited tour permits and often sell out. We highly recommend making reservations in advance for the best availability of our excursions and departure times.

CANCELLATION POLICY

MAMMOTH EXCURSIONS has a 48-hour cancellation policy in order to receive a refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will not be refunded.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Our tours operate rain or shine. Rainfall is generally very short-lived. We carry rain ponchos in the vehicles in case of inclement weather. In the case of extreme weather, MAMMOTH EXCURSIONS and Inyo National Forest Service reserves the right to modify, shorten or cancel any tour to prevent damage to trails or avoid unsafe conditions.
MAMMOTH EXPERIENCES reserves discretion of cancellation of tours, any tours cancelled by MAMMOTH EXPERIENCES will incur a full refund to guests.

Vehicle

Open-air Jeep

Our lifted open-air Jeep Wrangler is equipped with proper seat belts and safety equipment. Your driver has training in off road driving techniques and is CPR and First-aid certified.

Climate Of Jeep and Mammoth Lakes

Our Jeep Wrangler has a soft-top that can be lower to cover the Jeep in case of weather but also raised when the weather is beautiful. Weather is usually pleasant in Mammoth Lakes but be prepared for weather. Jeep is also equipped with heater and air-conditioner.

Cellular Service

Our excursions take you to areas where cell service is mostly available. We do travel between mountainous, forest areas where service can be limited so please be prepared to switch your phone to airplane mode for a brief moment.

WHAT TO WEAR

iSUP Excursions: Feel free to wear sandals, beach wear, and waterproof clothing like a bathing suit, a short sleeve rash guard or water resistant activewear. The most popular summer paddle board attire is board shorts for men and a swimsuit for women. It never hurts to be prepared with a long sleeve article and/or sweat pants.

Jeep Excursions: Dress for the season in comfortable outdoor clothing with closed-toe shoes. Layers are best with light jackets and light clothing in summer. Hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses are recommended. Contact lens wearers may want to switch to eyeglasses to avoid eye irritation.

WHAT TO BRING

We recommend bringing a water bottle, camera and/or cell phone.
For iSUP Excursions: towel, sunblock, hat, sunglasses, extra light layers
For safety and comfort of our guests, full meals and glass bottles are prohibited on the vehicle. You are welcome to bring a snacks, drinks in cans.
A purse or standard-sized backpack or small bag/cooler is acceptable, there is limited storage space in our vehicles. Anything you bring needs to fit comfortably in your lap throughout the tour.

CHILD CAR SEATS

Children’s car seats and booster seats must be provided by guests

PROHIBITED ITEMS

items prohibited include: firearms, drones, glass containers, large coolers, large professional video equipment, illegal substances, guns, weapons of any kind, or cremated remains.
There is no smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, drinking alcohol in vehicle.
